NUCLEUS TORN (1997-2015) played a unique and multifaceted hybrid of progressive rock/metal with folkier leanings on the early records and a more contemporary approach on the later albums. The last and ultimate line-up saw mainman Fredy Schnyder team up with Anna Murphy (Cellar Darling) and Alain Ackermann (Eluveitie). It was this trio which allowed NUCLEUS TORN to reach its climax on the double album 'Street Lights Fail' and 'Neon Light Eternal'. These were followed by the 3DVD-Werkschau 'Blowing Up the Entire World', which featured the entire discography in new surround and stereo mixes. After FS had continued to further explore the outer regions of progressive (rock) music as Ælfred the Great (check Bandcamp), plans for another album were abandoned in 2023. The music refused to fit into the confines of the NUCLEUS TORN brand established decades before. It's time for a new beginning.
